Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has announced the much awaited notification on TNPSC Group 1 Exam 2015. In this article, I am going to give you an overview about the notification. TNPSC Group 1 Exam Posts

TNPSC Group 1 Exam 2015 is conducted for 4 posts. Those 4 posts are

Deputy Collector.
Deputy Superintendent Of Police (Category 1)
Assistant Commissioner (C.T.) and
District Registrar.

TNPSC Group 1 Exam 2015 Vacancies

The number of vacancies available for TNPSC Group 1 Exam 2015 is given below.

Deputy Collector- 19 Vacancies.
Deputy Superintendent Of Police- 26 Vacancies.
Assistant Commissioner- 21 Vacancies.
District Registrar- 8 Vacancies.

So, in TNPSC Group 1 Exam 2015, totally we are going to have 74 vacancies for the 4 posts.

TNPSC Group 1 Exam 2015 Eligibility Criteria

Age: Candidates applying for TNPSC Group 1 Exam 2015 must have completed a minimum of 21 years of age as on 01/07/2015. Maximum age limit to apply for TNPSC Group 1 Exam 2015 according to communal category. The upper age limit for SC, ST, MBC, BC is 35 years. The upper age limit for categories other than the previously said is 30 years. (Refer notification for more details)

Education: Candidates applying for TNPSC Group 1 Exam must possess a degree of any of the universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or any other Educational Institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a university under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act 1956. Preferences are given to certain degree holders for certain posts. (Refer notification for more details)

TNPSC Group 1 Exam Pattern

TNPSC Group 1 Exam is conducted in three stages. Those three stages are

Preliminary Examination.
Main Examination and
Interview.

TNPSC Group 1 Exam 2015 Application Procedure

Candidates are requested to apply only through online mode. Candidates have to visit TNPSC official website and apply through the special link for TNPSC Group 1 Exam 2015. The link to apply online through TNPSC official website is given at the end of this article.

For TNPSC Group 1 Preliminary Examination, candidates have to pay a sum of Rs.125/- (Rs.75+Rs.50). In that, Rs.75/- is examination fee and Rs.50/- is the cost of application. Candidates can pay the amount through either online payment method or offline payment method. For online payment, candidates can pay through Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card etc. For offline payment, candidates can pay through Post Office or Indian Bank.

Last Date To Apply- 09/08/2015.
Last Date Of Payment Through Offline Method- 11/08/2015.
